New Baby Expo was a Success!

Hi everyone, 

Tyna and I want to thank everyone for their support during this past weekend's event at the Blaisdell Center. These shows and expos are so full of all different emotions for us. Typically, there's the general stress and concern that nobody's going to like our products. We don't get much sleep during the week before as we tag and inventory everything. We check and double check all the little things like tags, prices, loose threads, and the general quality of everything that comes in. We both have fuller than full time jobs (we both work 60+ hours a week at our main jobs) and need to squeeze time in where we can between sleep and nurturing our young marriage to grow this concept we thought would be a great idea. Then on the mornings of the shows, we usually wake up at 5 or 6 am, to catalog more items, load up the car, find something quick to eat, then head to the show to set everything up for the day. Then it's a day full of folding, packing things up, more folding, more packing, and doing everything we can to make sure everyone gets what they want. 

Now I know what you're thinking, but all of that put together makes these shows super awesome!! It's so great talking to everyone, meeting new people and seeing old friends. It's exhilarating, and fun, and it's a great opportunity for Tyna and I to work with each other, build our relationship and get closer together. We really love seeing our supporters. Since our first Baby Expo in October, we feel like we've really grown with our clients and many of them have become friends. Many of you have come by multiple times during the various shows that we've done, started following us on Instagram and Facebook, and been awesome spokespeople for our brand. We also absolutely love meeting new clients as well! We realize that our business is only as strong as the people who support us. We are so appreciative of everyone who has ever purchased something from us, followed us on Instagram, or tagged us in a photo. We feel truly blessed that we get such a positive response from people. We could never say it enough, but thank you, thank you, thank you times one million! We hope that you can continue on this journey with us as we continue to grow.

Courage To Be Kind started with a vision to help support our family and our parents. We were inspired to share our idea with others and prayed that others would support us in our journey. Along the way, we've gotten a lot of support from our talented friends like Chris Uyeda who did all of our web design stuff, Kory Kawaguchi who designs all the super awesome, super cute logos that we have, and Dave Gutierrez that helps us with our marketing. We could not have done it without them and we can't do it without you! 

One thing that made this show extra special was the fact that every purchase made for the entire month will be matched with an equal donation to Star Wars: Force for Change and UNICEF Kid Power. We've mentioned it before, but Kid Power is a program that encourages kids to get active and translates that activity to food for malnourished kids around the world. Thanks to you, we're going to be able to make a sizable donation to the charity.
